The Manager In Charge (MIC) Program, offered through TRAINEX Skills Hub and certified by Highfield International, provides a practical and proactive approach to managing food safety. The program equips food businesses with the tools needed to manage food safety internally—minimizing reliance on external inspections and helping protect both public health and profits.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDED:
1. Highfield Level 3 Award in Food Safety in Catering (RQF)
2. Highfield Level 3 Award in Auditing and Inspection (RQF)
3. Highfield Level 3 Award in Food Allergen Management in Catering (RQF)
4. Highfield Level 3 International Award in HACCP for Catering

Highfield Manager In Charge
Businesses participating in the program through TRAINEX may also be eligible to receive certificate of Excellence in Managing Food Safety from TRAINEX Skills Hub & Highfield (Business Award). This certificate recognizes organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to internal food safety management.
To maintain this recognition annually, the business must:
- Address all issues identified through internal audits.
- Ensure at least 50% of food handlers are trained to Level 2 and 50% of managers to Level 3 in Food Safety.
- Show no major compliance issues or repeat failings.
